Mirrors. Definition: a reflecting surface, originally of polished metal but now usually of glass with a silvery, metallic, or amalgam backing. Mirrors, interesting things. They aren't living. They're just there. Serving for one thing and one thing only; to be looked through to see what we look like or to see something behind us. That's all they do. What if, just thinking like a mad man here, they were alive? Or at least could look back. Cause no one really looks AT the mirror... they look at what's in the mirror.
